There are three bedrooms off the open-plan living/dining area; Two enjoy breathtaking views over the Waitakere Hills and Te Henga Wetlands, and the third looks onto the private back garden. One thing the owners always loved about spending time at Friday Cottage was the sheltered and private paved area at the back. It's the perfect space for sitting, reading or watching out for birds and skinks. It is private and never windy, the best area for barbecues.
A start has been made on the renovations over the years, so you could move in and spend time improving the rustic kitchen as you go. Apart from the beach location, my favourite thing about this home is the combination of the high ceilings, natural light flooding in the windows, a Kent-style fireplace, which creates a lovely atmosphere, and the deck that flows from the living area, taking in the ever-changing views of the valley.
The local property market at Bethells offers very few opportunities for purchasers. What is it that makes you and other people move here and stay? Living here, you'll appreciate the birdlife, cycle to the beach, walk to the freshwater lake and surf, or enjoy a good round of golf at the Waitakere Course. You'll also take in the local wild West Coast scenery. The school bus takes local kids to school and college.
Like me, if you're passionate about the local community, nature, the surf club, the Bethells Cafe, music nights, our market each Saturday, which features fresh local produce, Bethells Beanz coffee, Earthbound honey, fresh fruit ice cream, local pottery, and art, consider your options.
