The Argyll Group portfolio comprises of three dairy farms on the western side of the Clutha River in Clydevale. The total land holding of the portfolio equates to 844.6347 ha with an additional circa 33 ha of developed land outside the legal boundaries on the fringe of the river, further increasing farmable area. The portfolio is made up of three dairy units; Argyll, Riverview and McCallbraes.
Argyll Group currently have supply arrangements with Fonterra (McCallbraes) and Danone (Riverview & Argyll). Danone supply contract is A2 milk from the Riverview and Argyll properties. McCallbraes is currently 60% A2 in the cow herd and will be able to transition in a reasonable timeframe to 100%.
The properties currently milk in excess of 2,200 cows, through three rotary sheds ranging from 50-54 bails. The portfolio is equipped with quality improvements including nine houses, various calf and implement sheds, quality effluent infrastructure and a consent to irrigate a portion of the property. The balance of deep river silt soils, rolling contour and the ability to partly winter on if preferred, make Argyll the productive large-scale unit it is.
