Katie and Chris decided to move to Whangamata to start their family as they appreciate the lifestyle that Whangamata has to offer. Katie had a lifetime of holidaying there and Chris grew up there so it was an easy choice. 


After completing a Bachelor of Education, Katie went into a career in Primary Teaching working in Auckland, Papamoa and Whangamata. With over a decade in teaching, including leadership positions, Katie has gained the skills of communication and management.  


In 2023 with Chris’s business partner Pete Shepard moving to Nelson, Katie decided to team up with her husband Chris Speedy in Whangamata Real Estate. 


Together Chris and Katie have a broad skill set that allow them to excel in the Real Estate industry. Their honest approach combined with market knowledge, attention to detail and negotiation skills allows them to produce great results.
