John has been involved in farming in the Waikato all of his adult life.  Educated at New Plymouth Boys High School and Lincoln University he has been a valuer, sharemilker, dairy and drystock farm owner, and since 1992, a rural real estate agent. Since then he has sold a diverse range of properties, which along with his background in other rural pursuits, gives John a broad understanding of the market and developing trends that few other can lay claim to.
